After four years, the HORN Technology Days are back.

The company will be hosting its Technology Days event June 14-16 in Tubingen, Germany where it will offer insights into its production methods with a focus on “mastering processes.”

“Tool, workholding equipment, and machine make up a process. However, in most cases it is not as simple as it looks at first glance. A great deal happens in advance before a process is up and running, especially when it comes to cycles or the properties and capabilities of machines—such as synchronized spindles—and much more,” HORN says in a release. “The process requires a holistic approach and understanding in order to make it viable for users and offer added value. For example, great skiving, polygon turning, slotting, high-speed whirling, and sliding-head turning are just some of the processes that may be employed. Our understanding of these and other processes is key to holing our own in high technology.”

Technology Days will include expert lectures, live machining, exhibits, industry-specific areas, and the participation of numerous partner companies.

“Our carbide manufacturing facility is also open to visitors. Come and discover our state-of-the-art systems for the manufacture of carbide, as well as various manufacturing processes from axial pressing to extrusion,” HORN says.
