Digital precision boring head

The TR-Elettra digital precision boring head from D’Andrea S.p.A., available from Tyson Tool Co. Ltd., Toronto, allows for quick and precise adjustments.

Whether set on the shop floor or in the tool crib, a single button operation provides a simple and concise readout (to 0.002 mm or 0.0001 in.) for radial slide traverse adjustments. Setting your zero point, resetting the display, or switching between metric and inch measurements are all accessed through the same simple button. A practical energy saving function will turn off the display after 30 seconds of inactivity and also store the last value displayed.

Compatible with the proven D’Andrea modular MHD coupling system, the new TR-Elettra heads can be used with virtually all standard machine spindle tapers. Supplied with internal through coolant, the boring heads also have a coolant seal protection rating of IP67. Available individually or as kits for the boring range of Ø.024 to 4.250 in.
