Cetec ERP expands incoming inspection capabilities

Cetec ERP, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning software company, expands customization capabilities for quality departments through its new Incoming Inspection module to meet demands for additional workflow enhancement.

For manufacturing companies, the incoming inspection process often presents challenges that are both time and labor intensive. Parts may have specific requirements that can vary from part to part, and it is important for quality to perform adequate inspections as new parts and material come through the doors.

Cetec ERP’s new module allows the ability to customize incoming inspections through custom workflows and forms. Pass/Fail validations can be set, so that as data is entered, the inspection can auto fail if a specification is not met. Required fields can also be set to ensure all quality needs are confirmed before completing the inspection. Within the new module, Cetec ERP provides the ability to tie these workflows and forms back to parts or vendors as needed.

By granting custom workflows, forms and rules for specific parts and/or vendors, Cetec ERP enables manufacturers to seamlessly complete a number of important functions such as the requirement for a specific steel tolerance in their inspections, to the need to confirm that traceability documentation is provided with incoming parts.
