Aerospace manufacturer Héroux-Devtek Inc. has announced a six-year extension of its landing gear contract with Boeing.
The extension will see Héroux-Devtek continue to supply complete landing gear systems for the Boeing 777 and 777X family of aircraft.
Based in Longueuil, Québec, the company is a major global manufacturer of aerospace products and the world’s third-largest landing gear manufacturer.
“The work our teams have done since the beginning of this contract is the foundation of the strong relationship we have developed with The Boeing Company,” said Martin Brassard, Héroux-Devtek president and CEO. “We are proud of Boeing’s renewed trust and look forward to expanding the products and services we supply to the aerospace industry.”
Héroux-Devtek first signed the contract with Boeing in 2013. It includes all OEM and aftermarket requirements. Most of the machining takes place in Canada at Heroux Devtek facilities in Kitchener and Cambridge in Ontario, and Laval in Québec, a company spokesperson told Shop Machining Technology. The balance of machining, plating and assembly is done in the US.
