“To further intensify product focus and support with customers, we have named Machine Tool Systems as our new distributor in Canada,” says Scott Fosdick, president of GF Machining Solutions. “Their core business is providing highly engineered machine solutions for high-tech manufacturing.”
Current GF Machining Solutions customers in Canada can expect a streamlined transition to the new distributor and will benefit from full-service support that includes a high level of product and industry specialization and an intimate knowledge of the right equipment for their particular applications. For the foreseeable future, GF Machining Solutions will directly handle the service of its Canadian customers’ equipment.
As a result of the partnership, Machine Tool Systems will add a new product manager to exclusively serve the GF Machining Solutions product range. There will also be an applications engineer to assist in the support of GF Machining Solutions customers. GF Machining Solutions will also support the GF Mikron milling products with an experienced full time service engineer.
Machine Tool Systems is opening a new 465 sq m (5,000 sq ft) showroom in Mississauga, ON, which will also serve as a demonstration facility equipped with machines under power that will also be used for applications engineering.
On-hand inventory includes GF AgieCharmilles wire and die sinking EDM technologies and a GF Mikron mill. It also displays a surface grinding system to showcase the complete range of solutions available to the mould and die industries.
“We are looking forward to live demonstrations of the equipment and the opportunity to show examples of GF Machining Solutions technologies to our local customers,” says Manley.
