Fixtureworks , a North American manufacturer and supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool components and rollers & bumpers, has expanded its 5-axis modular clamping systems offerings by introducing a larger flanged clamping module with a 35kN clamping force for large workpieces and molds.
The precise 5-axis pull clamps enable machining from five sides, resulting in precise machining accuracy with a single setup.
The clamping system, with locating repeatability of 5 microns, allows easy tool access and requires no additional machining setup. The system features a variety of tapered clamping and riser screws and tapered bushings to be used with the new CP150- M20100 module. New M24 size clamping screws, riser screws and tapered bushings are also being added to the lineup.
The operative word is modular. This modular pull clamping system is designed to save space and increase efficiency in a variety of clamping applications. The clamping system is designed to eliminate tool interference during workpiece machining. The new larger flanged system measures approx. 100 x 100 mm: 4 x 4 in.
Flanged Module clamps are used to locate and clamp a workpiece in conjunction with clamping screws. Secured to the base plate using a socket head cap screw used with a locating bushing precise locating. The body, clamping nut and locking screw are all made from induction hardened steel, precision ground, with a black oxide finish.
