The SMA 30-P pneumatic beveling tool uses inserts with eight cutting edgesClick image to enlarge

The improved SMA 30-P hand-held, pneumatic beveling tool has been introduced by Saar-Hartmetall.

The new SMA 30-P features a new and simplified design that allows for easier and quicker changing of the milling head. The new milling head of the redesigned SMA 30-P utilizes dice-shaped inserts that now have eight (8) cutting edges instead of the typical four (4) cutting edges. This results in a more efficient and cost-effective beveling process.

This lightweight, ergonomically designed beveling tool can produce straight bevels up to 3/8” at 30,° 45° and 60° and radii bevels of 3mm (1/8”) or 4mm. The SMA 30-P complements SAAR’s complete line of electric and pneumatic portable beveling tools.

“We are pleased to be able to offer this improved model of the SMA 30-P to the industry,” states Iwan Antonow, executive vice president of Saar-Hartmetall USA. “The new head design of the SMA 30-P beveler will make it much easier to change the milling heads. And there are now eight cutting edges instead of just four, so choosing this tool is much more economical on the long run.”

Bandsaw with increased cutting output

The new Behringer HBE Dynamic Series bandsaws use a high torque, frequency controlled blade drive motor. The specialized gearing in the drive is engineered to produce the blade power and speed needed to achieve fast cutting and peak throughput rates. Because the drive is low horsepower and energy efficient, power consumption is reduced while energy savings and high production are realized. The new saw is designed to meet a broad range of applications in the steel trade, mechanical engineering, tool making and in high-end metalworking shops.
