OMAX Corp. has launched a new abrasive waterjet cutting machine line, GlobalMax.
“The GlobalMAX product line was created to extend our waterjet engineering and manufacturing technology base to more customers,” says Stephen Bruner, vice president of marketing at OMAX. “The product line features our proven direct drive pump technology, easy-to-use software, and innovative motion control technology. We build waterjet systems that help our customers make money in the short and long term and this product line is no exception. With GlobalMAX, OMAX aims to redefine value-oriented waterjets.”
The GlobalMax 1508 JetMachining Centre features the company's Omega drive system that the company says provides a smoother transition from rotary motion to linear motion compared to traditional rack and pinion drive systems. The Omega drive tooth engagement minimizes backlash and improves reliability, and requires no lubrication, which can attract and retain garnet.
The new series machines are equipped with OMAX's direct drive pump technology, which convert more than 85 per cent electrical power to pure cutting power, says the company. The machines also feature the company's Intelli-Max Global 4th generation software, an easy to use system that operators can learn to import, draw and cut parts in one day, according to the company.
