The THINBIT product line, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Company, offers parting inserts in narrow widths.

Narrow widths reduce distortion on small diameter parts and thin wall tubing. The narrow widths also minimize kerf loss on valuable materials such as precious metals.
Parting inserts are available in left hand, centred or right hand configurations. Available widths are 0.025”, 0.045”, 0.062”, 0.085” and 0.115”, and can be used to cut off a work piece with a diameter up to 1.0”.
Seven degree lead angle options are available to reduce the part off nub.
• Carbide and high speed steel grades for ferrous, non ferrous and plastic materials.
• TiN, TiAIN, TiCN and diamond film coating to optimize insert life.
