Salvagnini P4 panel bender offers automated bending and part forming that outperforms press brakes, says the companyClick image to enlarge

Salvagnini’s newest family of automated panel benders is the P4 panel benders.

The new panel benders process cut blanks with zero setup time using universal tooling and Automated Bending Technology (ABT) to automatically produce parts–switching from batch to kit to single piece part production with a total flexibility, reliability and consistently high part quality that no press brake can hope to match.

The P4 with its proprietary SiX controller provides users with the ultimate in unmanned, lean manufacturing capability – with automatic part centering for consistently accurate formed products; with automatic compensation for the introduction of different materials or thicknesses, or for any deflection that might occur during processing; and for shop-floor, environmental factors such as changes in temperature over the course of a day’s work.

Whether used in a stand-alone mode, or in-line with a punch+shear, punch+laser, or laser, a Salvagnini panel bender is the fastest, most cost efficient way to get from punched blank to a finished part, claims the company. That means reduced work in process, just in time, lean production. It means increased profitability.

Bandsaw with increased cutting output

The new Behringer HBE Dynamic Series bandsaws use a high torque, frequency controlled blade drive motor. The specialized gearing in the drive is engineered to produce the blade power and speed needed to achieve fast cutting and peak throughput rates. Because the drive is low horsepower and energy efficient, power consumption is reduced while energy savings and high production are realized. The new saw is designed to meet a broad range of applications in the steel trade, mechanical engineering, tool making and in high-end metalworking shops.
